2. Scope of professional tax services
Luc Dubé practises as a tax specialist and acts as an expert in tax law. He is not a lawyer, not a notary and not a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), and is not a member of any of these professional orders.
The services provided by Luc Dubé, tax specialist, are strictly limited to the analysis and application of Canadian, U.S. and international tax legislation for tax planning purposes. Luc Dubé, tax specialist, does not provide legal advice, does not represent clients before any court or quasi-judicial body, and does not issue opinions on civil, corporate or commercial law.
The drafting of legal instruments, the validity of corporate documents and any advice of a legal nature fall within the responsibility of the client’s legal counsel. When a legal issue is identified, Luc Dubé refers the client to, or collaborates with, a duly licensed lawyer or notary as appropriate.
This limitation of services is reflected in the website’s content, in all written communications and in every client interaction.
